156 × 234 mm (6.14 × 9.21 in) is the Royal format — large enough for a comfortable two-column measure, small enough to hold in one hand. Perfect binding gives a flat spine that a magazine can be shelved by. The cover is matte rather than gloss so it does not hold fingerprints.

How it is checked before printing
Every issue passes an automated preflight before a print order is placed. No font fallbacks anywhere in the rendered PDF. No image below 150 DPI at its rendered size. Orphan and widow lines within spec. Table of contents page references matching actual page positions. A cover that renders without overflow. An even page count within the binder's range.
A failure on any one of those blocks the run. The gate is automated, not a person eyeballing a proof.
